Reopening News!
Please keep in mind that we have to reschedule every single patient in our practice. Our goal is to try to see everyone within a four-week time frame and schedule patients in roughly the same order they were previously scheduled, so the patients who have gone the longest without being seen will be the first ones rescheduled.
We have also adjusted our schedule to limit the number of patients in the office at any given time. This is to accommodate social distancing and to allow extra time for enhanced disinfecting procedures between patients. We know everyone is anxious to come in ASAP, but please be patient with our receptionists when they contact you. We are doing our very best to see everyone in the shortest time frame possible.
We have a medical history form and consent on our website. If you can, please print them out, fill them out the morning of the appointment, and bring them with you. If you can’t print them at home, we will have copies in an envelope on our office window.
We are asking all patients to brush their teeth thoroughly before coming in because our toothbrushing area is closed for now. Patients must also bring their own mask, and wear it when entering the office. We do not have masks available for patients.
When you get to our office, please give us a call from your car to let us know you are here and someone will come out and get the patient. We will post the phone number on our front door.
Our waiting room is currently closed and we are only allowing patients in our office, so whoever brings a child patient should wait in the car. We will be taking every patient’s temperature when they enter the office, so please make sure the patient doesn’t exercise or sit in a hot car right before entering the office. We won’t be able to see anyone who has a fever.
We are following all guidelines from the CDC and the American Dental Association, and are checking daily for any updates. Our staff has all the necessary PPE, including N95 masks, face shields, and disposable gowns, and have been trained in using them properly. We are staggering appointment times to minimize the number of patients in the office and have reconfigured how we use our treatment chairs so patients are sitting farther apart. We have also included extra time between appointments to allow us to thoroughly disinfect the treatment area and will also be disinfecting the entire office hourly.
Finally, it is going to be very important to be on time for your appointments. With the adjustments to our scheduling procedures and the number of patients we are trying to
accommodate in a short period, we, unfortunately, won’t be able to “squeeze” you in if you are late. If you are late you will be rescheduled for sometime in July. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
